While we were trying to catch Cosi-cosi (our female JRT), who ran away again, a boy about 9 years old carrying a small poodle in his arms approached me and Lupo (the son of Cosi-Cosi). I only noticed the kid when Lupo tried to jump near the poodle and so I pulled his leash. Lupo was about two feet away from the kid when I got to pull Lupo back.
I greeted the kid with a warm hello. Looking a bit scared at how Lupo was trying to jump after his poodle, the kid answered, "Hey, can't you control your dog?" He repeated it again with this slang american accent which sounded more like an acusation than a question. I ignored him and went back trying to call Cosi-Cosi. Still the kid hovering around us said, "You can't control your dog! This one is still a baby you know!" I didn't like the tone the kid was using so I answered, "Lupo has a leash, and if you are still scared then why don't you leave?"
The kid frowned as he turned away from us, mumbling these words, "I was just trying to see it."
