Lupo chewed the power cord!

I had unplugged my computer from the desk and left the power cable on the floor and proceeded to the bedroom to enjoy wirelessly browsing before taking a short nap.

Via woke me up from my nap frantically showing me the cord of my white mac power adapter. Via caught Lupo (our 6 month old Jack Russel Terrier in teething stage) chewing on the cord, just in time before the cord was split into half. I tried plugging it back in my mac to see if it was working. But I find out that the end was chewed too much that it wouldn't fit the computer. ARRGH!

This thing costs a lot I'm sure.. I estimated it at Php4,000.. I was wrong, it will cost me around Php6,500 to replace the whole thing. So I went to an apple authorized service center to have it looked at. They said that they will see if it can be fixed or if is covered by Apple Care so that it can be replaced for free (Oh please lord, please). I will find out in a day or two about the result.

This wasn't the first time Lupo chewed a cord, the other time was the LAN cable. Luckily those things are easy to fix. Sigh.

Still Looking...

It's been almost a month since our househelp left. Which is probably why we haven't written anything in a while. We've been busy with a lot during the last couple of weeks, adding household chores and cleaning up after the dogs doesn't help!

So.. if any of you know of someone.. please..

BlogStar Launches in Barcelona

BlogStar_Gala.jpg

Here is a photo of the gala launch of BlogStar in barcelona. I am posting it here not only to promote the site but to show you my work. I created that logo! I never thought that it could look this nice in an event. (I had my doubts) :)

By the way, I'm not in barcelona.. only our bosses are. hehe.

Post VDay

Noel and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. It's the traffic, the frenzy over flowers and chocolates and the general feeling single people have that they must have the black plague... I wonder if VDay is worshipped as much in other parts of the world as it is here, though it was a pretty big thing while we were living in Italy.

So last night was spent with Noel's family over dinner (while some singers jammed in the background) at Discovery Suites as everything in the Ortigas area was booked and traffic was pretty horrendous for Noel coming from Makati. (via the C5 route) It was a nice evening over good wine and an assortment of the set menu which included salmon, foie gras and other dishes. It was a six course meal!!!

To end my post VDay post, (is that even considered a pun??) have fun with this sexy name decoder I found in Toni's site:

Vocal Individual Adeptly Providing Erotic Recreation and Lustful, Arousing Stimulation

We like to dress up

noeluviaTCU.jpg

Here is one of our most recent photos, taken during our workshop called "Tapping the Creative Universe," which I cannot talk about properly since I attended only half of the workshop. You should ask Via how it was. I was out for 3 sessions because it was on the same week of the BlogStar launch.

EDIT: Thanks jen for reminding me.. I forgot to explain why we dressed up. It was sort of an exercise in "abundance" which was the lesson the previous class. So to be creative and happy.. be abundant! (you should've been there to understand what I mean.)
